Description
Professor Smith earned a Ph.D. degree from University of Utah in 1970. She is a physical anthropologist who specializes in medical anthropology, human variation, forensic anthropology, and physiological adaptations. “Sandy” Smith conducted research on Native American diabetes. Now retired for nearly two decades, her award-winning quilts are yet another part of her legacy.
