Current Position:
Assistant Professor
Description:
My research interests span across two separate, but related aspects of youth mental health, including a focus on (1) the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based practices for youth. This interest also includes a focus on clinician-level data with respect to the adoptability and adaptability of evidence-based practices in schools and communities. Additionally, I am interested in (2) evaluating the characteristics and effectiveness of intervention programs specific to trauma-exposed youth. As a new professor during academic year 2009-2010, I am continuing to build my research program which will include a focus on cultural adaptation of evidence-based practices for youth (specific focus on trauma treatments in Native American youth) and evaluation of those treatments.
My research lab assistants are graduate students Molly McDonald, Lindsay Crosby, and Susan Ocean.
I also work with a number of undergraduate students--THANK YOU for your contributions!
Notice for prospective students:
I do plan on taking on a new graduate advisee for Fall, 2013.
Contacting this faculty member regarding graduate mentorship:
If you would like to introduce yourself and express interest in the program, please email me at: cameo.borntrager@umontana.edu. I would be happy to receive your message and learn a little about you; however, because of the large number of inquiries I receive, I am not able to respond to general queries for information about our department or the program prior to reviewing applications and initiating phone interviews. Please review our website for that information. I may be able to answer specific questions about my own research program; though, please note that I do keep my faculty website up to date.
