Head of Class

Sierra Howlett, of Arlee, Montana, who is a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, was selected for her commitment to tribal policy and health care. She is a senior in Sociology and is committed to working with the tribes in the future on what she considers the biggest challenge: “Trying to retain everything from the past, our traditional ways, culture and values and still maintain our status and economic stability without giving up everything that makes us a strong tribe.” Read More...

Learn about student opportunities offered through Associated Students of the University of Montana (ASUM). ASUM provides funding and representation for dozens of student groups on campus including the Didgeridoo Club, Chemistry Club, the Alpine Ski team, and more!
