Description:
Author and professor of Anthropology at the University of Montana, Douglas MacDonald will discuss his new book, Montana Before History: 11,000 Years of Hunter-Gatherers in the Rockies and Plains. His work details how Montana’s early peoples adapted to the rugged environment and several dramatic changes in climate. He describes in sequence the Paleoindian, Archaic and late Prehistoric periods and their characteristic sites and artifacts.
