Facilities

  • BioSpectroscopy Core Research Facility with femto- and picosecond lasers and single-molecule fluorescence capabilities.

  • The NMR Core Facility at UM contains 500 and 600 MHz Varian NMR systems that were installed in 2006. The 600 MHz spectrometer is equipped with four channels, z-axis gradients, a 13C-enhanced salt-tolerant cold probe and a triple resonance probe as a backup. This spectrometer is devoted primarily to biomolecular applications. The 500 MHz spectrometer is equipped with three channels, three-axis gradients, direct and indirect broadband probes, an HCN triple resonance probe and accessories for magic angle spinning (MAS). It is available for general chemical applications as well as for biomolecular studies.
