Overview: Each report will contain three parts: an update on your activities, a link to concepts from communication studies and a career development component.

Length: Approximately 5-6 pages (double spaced, 12 point font)

For this report please do the following:

1. Review. Describe what you have been doing at your internship since your last report. What kinds of activities have you been doing? What kinds of challenges have you encountered? (1 page)

2. Organizational Communication. Consider some/all of the following: Compare and contrast the formal organizational structure of your organization with the informal networks of relationships that have developed/are developing between people in the organization. Describe core managerial values and beliefs in your organization, key organizational practices that construct and enact those values, and how people in the organization interpret or resist those values in different ways.
How do key personnel attempt to control communication processes? (3 pages)

3. Career. The purpose of this career development section is to foster the development and refinement of your resume. Take this opportunity to work on your resume and get it ready for future job searches. To do so, take your resume to career services on campus and have them review it. If you are out of town, then have a trusted person proof read it for you and go online and look for resume tips. Remember that a good resume uses active verbs.You are required to turn in a ONE PAGE resume with this assignment. In addition, I'd like a one paragraph explanation as to what you did to your resume for this assignment.
