- For Fiction workshops -- one short story
- For Poetry workshops -- 2-3 poems
- For Non-fiction workshops -- 4-5 page sample of non-fiction
- Place the submission packet in the instructor’s mailbox in the English Dept. (LA 133). Even though an instructor may not currently be on campus, please place clearly-labeled submissions in the appropriate instructor’s mailbox, since arrangements have been made to address this issue. TBA instructor submissions should go to Prageeta Sharma’s mailbox.
Note: You may choose to apply for more than one workshop, but must submit a separate packet to each instructor.

The names of those admitted will be posted on the instructor’s office door on or before the first day of priority registration. (April 13, 2009)
Note: If you do not see an Admitted list posted on a specific Professor’s door, check for a posting in the English Department.
- If your name is on the “admitted” list, obtain an override slip from the instructor and register for the course immediately. If not directly admitted, you may be placed on the waiting list for that class. Enrollment will fluctuate, and often students on the waiting list are admitted.
- As a courtesy to others, if for any reason you decide NOT to register for a workshop after you’re admitted, inform the instructor immediately so someone from the waiting list can be notified.
