Ph.D., SUNY Buffalo (1989). Casey teaches literatures of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, including Shakespeare and Milton as well as courses in gay and lesbian studies, literature and the law, and critical theory. The Sharon Kowalski Case: Lesbian and Gay Rights and Trial was published in 2003 as part of the American Law Series at the University Press of Kansas. He has also published articles on Plato, Chaucer, Sidney, Barnfield, and Shakespeare.
