Kate Gadbow
M.F.A., University of Montana (1985). Creative Writing: Fiction. Kate teaches undergraduate fiction and is the former Director of the Creative Writing Program. She is the author of the novel Pushed to Shore (Sarabande Books, 2003), which won the the 2001 Mary McCarthy Prize in Short Fiction. Her short stories, novel excerpts, and essays have appeared in Epoch, Northwest Review, CutBank, Talking River Review, Headwaters, and other publications. Her awards include the 2001 Mary McCarthy Prize in Short Fiction (for Pushed to Shore) and a 1997 residency at Ucross Foundation.
