Profile:

M.F.A, University of Montana (1994). Creative Writing (Fiction) and Composition. Robert teaches undergraduate fiction writing, composition, and advanced composition. He has published fiction and personal essays in Dreamers and Desperadoes: Contemporary Short Fiction of the American West, Haydenıs Ferry Review, Left Bank, The Clackamas Literary Review, Cascadia Times, Oregon Humanities, Open Spaces, Oregon Salmon: Essays on the State of the Fish at the Turn of the Millenium, and High Desert Journal among others. Robertıs story "Preserves" is forthcoming in Best American Stories of the West. Awards include a Georges and Anne Borchardt Scholarship from the Sewanee Writers Conference (2001), a Fishtrap Fellowship (1991), and an Imnaha Writers Retreat Fellowship (1999).
