POSITION: Adjunct Positions, Academic Year 2008-09

The University of Montana-Missoula periodically hires part-time adjunct instructors and professors from a pool of eligible applicants. Successful files will be placed in a pool from which the department will fill the positions as they become available. Applicants should apply separately to each of the disciplines for which they qualify. Excellence in teaching is required for all positions. Applications will be held on file for a single academic year. Creative Writing: Poetry, Fiction, and Non-fiction
Position requires teaching experience, publications, and a graduate degree in creative writing. Duties will include teaching creative writing courses and workshops. Literature
Position requires teaching experience and graduate degree in literature: M.A. for lower-division courses, Ph.D. or ABD for upper-division courses. Composition
Position requires a graduate degree in English and experience in teaching college-level composition as well as the ability to work with composition directors, staff, and other instructors. Duties may include teaching sections of Basic Composition, Composition, and/or Advanced Composition. Depending upon experience, position may include participation in a teaching seminar and meetings.
