April 19 (Fri)  3-6 pm UM FLAT Earth Week Kick-off BBQ (633 5th St. East, by UM). local food, live music, fun silent auction. Check out this sustainable living & learning center where students & the community collaborate on projects (permaculture garden, solar power, energy conservation, chicken rides! Note -- must be under 6 inches tall to ride chickens)

5pm-12 --Bike Bizarre at Free Cycles, (732 S. 1st St W), 5 to mid night mist@strans.org or 880-6834

April 20 (Sat)  EARTH SERVICE DAY (times may change, check back for updates)

    9am to 2pm--MT Sentinel M Trail work & prairie restoration. Planting, weeding, fence repair.  Meet at trailhead or hike up to workers. Bring work gloves & water. Lunch provided.  RSVP to marilyn.marler@mso.umt.edu 

     10am-noon--Clark Fork Coalition River clean up,  (BBQ noon-2pm) - Pick up trash along the Clark Fork. Team leaders meet at Caras Park between 9am & 10 am to get supplies for your group. Contact  liz@clarkfork.org

     1 pm to 2:30pm--Recycle Relay-- Sort recyclables at UM Recycling Shed. Meet at back of UM Facility Services (Physical Plant), NE corner of campus, between stadium & MT Sentinel.  MAP.  contact - UM_Recycle@mso.umt.edu

     2 to 5pm--UC Vegetable Garden (NE corner of the UC, outside)-- help expand garden & renew the compost. larry

    Noon to 5pm--Service Day at FreeCycles (732 S 1st W) -- build bikes, work on shop. Info at mist@strans.org or 880-6834

          ECOPENTATHALON - DO ALL OF THE ABOVE!      

Ecopentathletes bike from event to event working about an hour at each. Need water, work gloves, helmet & bike. Meet at 9:30 am on Kim Williams Trail by Van Buren footbridge.  Done by 5pm.  RSVP: email  Vicki.watson@umontana.edu or call 243-5153.
