The Faculty Database has been tested under Mozilla Firefox, Netscape, and IE 6x and above. Other than a few quirks with the HTML editor, Safari works and hopefully the quirks will be resolved shortly.

- I don’t see a login screen when I click on “Login Now”.
- You must have the latest Adobe Flash Player installed to use the Faculty Database. Visit www.adobe.com for a free download. You must be an administrator on your computer to install new programs.
- Why can’t I login to the Faculty Database?
- First, make sure you are using the correct username. Your username is your University email address:
- (first.last@mso.umt.edu or first.last@umontana.edu)
- If you have forgotten your password, click on the “Forgot your Password?� link to request a new one. It will be sent to you via email. If you still have problems logging in, contact your department administrator or email sfd@mso.umt.edu.
- I have tried to update my information, but nothing happens when I click on the link.
- Pop-up blockers must be disabled to use the Faculty Database. Pop-up blockers may be controlled by your antivirus or spyware program, as well as by toolbars like the Google or Yahoo toolbar. Additionally, your browser may block pop-ups.
- How do I change my password?
- Select “Update Login Information” to update your password.
- How do I choose a password?
- A secure password is one that is at least 8 characters in length and contains letters, numbers and symbols. Use words and phrases that are easy for you to remember, but difficult for others to guess.
- How do I change my username?
- It is not recommended that you change your username to anything other than your official University email address. If it is necessary to change your username, select “Update Login Information” to update your username.
- I’ve changed my email address and now I can't login.
- Your email address should be your official University email address. Because your email address also serves as your username, changing your email address will change your username.
- Why can’t I upload a new profile image?
- Images must be under 100 kilobytes in size. Any images larger than 100 kilobytes will not be uploaded.
- Why can’t I upload an image or document?
- Images must be under 100 kilobytes in size. There is no size restriction on documents.
- Images and documents must have valid file names. File names should not contain any special characters or spaces.
- What file types are supported by the Faculty Database?
- Image formats that are supported include .jpg, .gif, .bmp and .png.
- Documents formats that are supported include .doc, .docx, .pdf, .wpd, .txt and .ppt.
- How do I add my CV to my faculty listing?
- Select “Update Your Information”. If your CV is already online, just enter its address. You may also upload a CV from your computer by clicking on the button to the right.
- I am trying to edit the additional fields, but when I click on them, nothing happens.
- First, make sure pop-up blockers are disabled. Second, make sure all other edit windows are closed. You must finish editing one field before you can begin editing another.
- I am editing the additional fields. When I press enter, my cursor moves down two lines.
- To move to the next line without any space, press shift and enter at the same time.
