- Artifact ID #: 1249
- Excavation Unit: 2N 10W
- Level: Unknown
- Identification: Enamelware tin coffee pot lid. This artifact is a tin coffee pot lid that was enameled with powdered glass, and likely was blue or gray in color originally. Enamelware pots, pans, and dishes were popular after the mid-1870s and are still used by modern campers today. Due to the long use of enameled tin cookware and pots, it is hard to date this example but other artifacts from the same unit suggest that it dates to the Chinese occupation of German Gulch in the 1880s and 1890s.
