    • Identification: Brass fork handle with a “545” stamp on the underside. The 1897 Sears & Roebuck Catalog lists this pattern as plain-tipped, and sold for about fifty cents per spoon and a dollar for a dessert fork. The lack of fancy engraving suggests that the consumer preferred a cheaper option for their tableware.
