UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIPS
Each year the History Department invites eligible undergraduates to apply for a series of departmental scholarships. Scholarships are announced prior to March in any given year. The amounts of the awards vary from year to year.

Scholarship Winners 2012-2013
Edward Earl Bennett Memorial Scholarship
Amount of Award: $1,000
Two scholarships will be awarded to outstanding History or History/Political Science Teaching majors who will be Seniors during the 2012/2013 year.
Harold E. Blinn Scholarship
Amount of Award: $900
One scholarship will be awarded to a History major.
Jules A. Karlin Endowment
Amount of Award: $4,000
One scholarship will be awarded to the outstanding History major who will be a Senior during the 2012/2013 year.
Jules A. Karlin Scholarship
Amount of Award: $800
One scholarship will be awarded to a History major who will be a Junior during the 2012/2013 year.
Paul Lauren Human Rights Scholarship
Amount of Award: $1,000
One scholarship will be awarded to a History student who has demonstrated excellence in the study of human rights.
Robert O. Lindsay Scholarship
Amount of Award: $900
One scholarship will be awarded to a History major of high academic merit.
Helen J. Olson Scholarships
Amount of Award: $1,117
One or more scholarships based on academic quality and financial need. Amount yet to be determined. Must submit Need Analysis Form with application.
Carman Skari Memorial Scholarship
Amount of Award: $400
One scholarship will be awarded to a Freshman or Sophomore student who has distinguished himself/herself in the study of history.
