Description
Ranjan Shrestha is a development economist whose research focuses on health and development policies, especially in Indonesia. He joined the University of Montana in 2007 after completing his PhD from the Ohio State University. He teaches principles and intermediate macroeconomics, health economics, labor economics, and advanced development economics.

Research Interests
My research areas are in the fields of development, labor and demographic, and health economics with a focus on evaluating health policies in developing countries. I am currently working on evaluating social protection programs in Indonesia using the Indonesian Family Life Survey, a large longitudinal survey that has tracked over 7000 households over time.
