Spring 2014 Study Abroad in Oaxaca, Mexico
Oaxaca is rich in history and culture. There are an amazing number of points of interest both within and near the city such as cathedrals, museums, parks, concerts, restaraunts featuring Oaxaca's famous cuisine, archaeologicla sites, and crafts villages. Students who paricipate in this study abroad program will attend the Instituo Cultural Oaxaca a Spanish language school that has proudly welcomed students from all over the world. Participants must register for a full program of courses (15 credits). Their registration process will take place in Missoula and will be closely planned by teh student in consultation with the Program Director to insure that alll credits earned in Mexico will count towards the student's study and graduation plans. In addition, students will need to register for the orientation course, SPNS 291 for Fall 2014. Prticipants do NOT need to be Spanish majors or minors.
Study Abroad in Argentina: Buenos Aires y Patagonia Norte

The Spring Ser 2014 UM Study Abroad Progam will return to Argentina and Northern Patagonia. Our main site will be Buenos Aires, the hub of Argentina in every sense: cultural, economic, political and artistic. We will also spend some time in Northern Patagonia on a study field trip that will explore this enigmatic region that has attracted so many travelers and explorers and that today offers visitors an incredible landscape as well as r ich history and culture where immigration blends with local Mapuche and Tehuelche culture. In Buenos Aires students will explore cafes, elegant avenues, inuumerable museums, bookstores, theatre, soccer games, La Casa Rosada and other government buildings, visit the fascinating Delta and much more. The opportunities in Buenos Aires are countless.
