Field Of Study:
Chinese language (both modern and classical), Chinese literature (modern and premodern), Chinese culture, Japanese poetry in Chinese (kanshi)
Research Interests:
Primary current research area is kanshi, i.e. poetry written in classical Chinese by Japanese poets (seventh through early twentieth centuries).
