MLS Director and Faculty Member Honored


In 2008, Dr. Fluck was awarded the prestigious Nancy Borgmann Diversity Award for his contributions in teaching cross-cultural and global awareness and understanding. Three years in a row, in 2006, 2007 and 2008, he was the recipient of the Faculty Recognition Award by the University of Montana and the 2008 Special Recognition Award from the Office of the Vice-President for Student Affairs. Dr. Fluck and MLS were honored for the high-quality activities and programs offered for, and to, UM student.

In April/May 2007, the director of MLS, and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Geography and the School of Business Administration at The University of Montana, Dr. Fluck received the 2006-2007 Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Award in Marketing and Management from the School of Business Administration, where he also teaches courses in cross-cultural management and business ethics every semester.

Furthermore, Dr. Fluck received the Best Paper Award from the Association for Global Business for a research study titled “Enhancing Global-Mindedness in International Business Students Using an Online Multicultural Supplement” and was nominated for the Distinguished Service to International Education Award.
