MULTINET Goals & Structure
In October 2003, a Multicultural Networking Committee (MULTINET-Committee) was formed at The University of Montana with the goal to aid in multiculturalizing the campus by connecting and streamlining the many multicultural activities, and programs on campus and in the Missoula community. Through personnel and structural changes between 2003 and 2004, MULTINET has decided to focus on the development of a Global & Multicultural Competence Certificate (GMCC), among other projects. The MULTINET-Committee meets several times per semester to discuss progress related to multicultural curriculum design, global competence training, networking and cultural events and activities offered on campus.
The diverse members of the committee provide input and guidance on the development of a Global & Multicultural Competence Certificate (GMCC) at The University of Montana. They play an important role in ensuring a high standard of quality and relevance of MLS courses, workshops and trainings that are developed at UM.
