UM Alumni Donald and Louise Krumm, who started the MMUN high school conference in 1966, spoke to the 2007 MMUN class about their work with USAID, the State Department, and the United Nations
Did you participate in Montana Model UN? Do you have work or volunteer experience in international affairs? We would like to hear from you! Please contact Professor Adams.
Alumni and Friends of MMUN are vital sources of funding for our
activities. Each year, more than one-half of cost of the high school
conference and travelling team's expenses are paid for from the
College of Arts and Sciences gift account. Much of the funding from other units (e.g. the President's Office and the Political Science Department) also comes from gift accounts.
If you would like to help Montana high school students and UM students expand their knowledge of international affairs and put their skills to work in real-life situations, please send a check to The University of Montana Foundation, P.O. Box 7159, Missoula, MT 59807-7159, with a note on the memo line indicating that it is for the College of Arts and Sciences/Friends of Montana Model UN.
For more information about making a gift, with no obligation to do so,
please contact the UM Foundation.
In Fall 2007, Patty Hixon, a social studies teacher
at Hellgate High School, spoke to the class about the conference from
her students' point of view
