The Burgess Shale
(Middle Cambrian)
This rare Middle Cambrian Burgess Shale collection was acquired from the Smithsonian Institution. The Burgess Shale is one of the most significant fossil deposits in the world, containing the remains of a previously unknown diversity among soft-bodied marine invertebrates discovered in British Columbia, Canada. It includes rare trilobites, arthropods, worms, brachiopods and mollusks.
