Founded in 1969,
Epsilon Mu is the University of Montana’s chapter of Pi Sigma
Alpha. Epsilon Mu is one of the most active honors groups at the University
of Montana.
The organization
participates in a wide variety of events, such as organizing political
debates and policy forums, holding career days for political
science students, and an annual banquet with a prominent political
speaker
each spring. Epsilon Mu has received national recognition for its
activities. It has won
the Best Chapter Award eight times from
the National Office of Pi Sigma Alpha (1997, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003,
2005, 2006, and
2012) and Best Chapter Advisor Awards in 1998 and 2004. Epsilon Mu has also
been awarded a variety of grants from the National Office of Pi Sigma
Alpha. There is a one-time
fee to join the honorary.
