Advisors

The Pre-Medical Sciences Program at The University of Montana offers students the opportunity to interact

with several pre-med advisors in addition to their advisor for their major. 

Selecting the appropriate pre-med advisor:

FRESHMEN

Incoming Freshmen (except for Honors and Health and Human Performance):

See Jason Granvold (jason.granvold@umontana.edu; 243-2293) at the Advising Center.

He will be your pre-med advisor for your first semester, freshman year.

Incoming Freshmen into the Davidson Honors College:

See Dr. James McKusick (james.mckusick@umontana.edu; 243-2541) for pre-med advising.

Incoming Freshmen into Health and Human Performance:

See Dr. Charles Dumke (charles.dumke@umontana.edu; 243-6176) for pre-med advising.

All pre-med students are encouraged to declare their major during the second semester of their
freshman year. Students will then see a pre-med advisor in their chosen major.
