Getting Started with Custom Web Design

Getting Started:

So you're interested in a custom design from Spectral Fusion? Below is a list of everything you can expect from us, as well as what we'll be expecting from you. We look forward to hearing from you!

  1. Contact: Spectral Fusion to set up an initial meeting.
  2. Complete the Initial Consultation Questionnaire: (Adobe pdf, HTML, or MS Word document)
    • This will give you an idea of the type of questions that we'll be asking you. Don't worry if you don't have all the answers just yet, we are here to help you with any questions you may have. This form is just to help us get an idea of what you have in mind - nothing is ever set in stone.
  3. Meeting: At our initial meeting, we'll discuss your responses to the form as well as other issues to help us understand what you're looking for and devise a plan to meet your needs.
  4. Design Phase: The Spectral Fusion employee(s) designing your site will contact you shortly with one or more proposed designs. Now is the time to discuss the details of the site design. Let us know what you like and dislike, and we'll do our best to adjust the site until you're satisfied with the design.
  5. Sending Content: Once the site has been designed, it is up to you to submit the actual content for the site. You can do this via e-mail or drop it off in electronic format at the Spectral Fusion Designs office in University Center 127. If you have any questions about how to submit data, please read our guidelines for submission of data.
  6. Confirmation to go LIVE: Now that your site has been designed and the content has been added, it's time to post it to the web. After ensuring that your site is W3C accessible and meets web standards, you'll have one more chance to review it before it goes live. If you like what you see, then the process is finished, and your site is online!
