Our rates depend on a few different factors such as your affiliation with the University of Montana and what type of work you'd like done. Custom work ranges from $30-$40/hour. Please call (243-4789) or e-mail for an accurate quote.

What are the possibilities for features on my site?

The possibilities for your site are endless. Spectral Fusion is always learning new ways to make your site impressive. Some of these include Flash animations, virtual tours, dynamic content, and others. You can view some examples of these in the SFD Portfolio.

I'd like to learn more about designing web pages. Any suggestions?

If you're interested in web design and development, there are several opportunities available to you. There are classes offered both from The University of Montana and the College of Technology , as well as a variety of online classes. Many of the Spectral Fusion team members are certified by the International Webmaster's Association and HTML Writer's Guild. If you're interested in using Adobe products and/or former Macromedia products to develop and design pages, you should join the Montana Adobe Users Group, or look for help on the Adobe website.

How does Spectral fusion designs handle updates and changes to pages?

Spectral Fusion is very flexible with updating and changing pages. We work with you to determine what will be the best method to suit your needs. Some people choose to update the pages themselves, using either Adobe Contribute or Dreamweaver. In many cases, Spectral Fusion handles the updates for them. The method of updating depends on the needs of the individual or group the site is designed for.

I want to update my site myself. Can I do this if Spectral Fusion develops the site for me?

Yes. There are several ways for you to update the site yourself. Since we use Adobe (formerly Macromedia) Dreamweaver to develop your site, you will have the most success in updating it if you use either Adobe Dreamweaver or Contribute. Contribute allows you to set limits on what a particular user can and can't do in editing the website. This makes it especially well-suited for allowing multiple users to update site content, with different users having different levels of control. Many departments and organizations take advantage of this since they have several people responsible for editing and updating sites.

I am having problems updating my site with Contribute. Who should I contact?

Adobe provides excellent support on their website. If you look around the forums, you'll probably find that someone else has had the same question or problem before.

What software does the Spectral Fusion Designs team use to create my site?

Spectral Fusion uses primarily Adobe (Macromedia) Studio 8 to develop your site. We use several Adobe programs throughout the process, along with several others. The Adobe programs we use include Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, Freehand, Contribute, and Cold Fusion. From Adobe Creative Suite, we use Photoshop and Illustrator. We also use Microsoft Office programs such as Access and Excel for some of our content management. How can I become a member of the Spectral Fusion Designs team?
