Graphics Standards Manual
Section I:
Statement of Intent
The intent of this manual is to encourage visual consistency in the use of Spectral Fusion's logo without hindering creativity. The following guidelines apply to all print, electronic, and Web applications. The consistent and repetitive use of the visual images will unify and strengthen Spectral Fusion's identity and image.
If a situation arises that is not covered in this manual, you can direct questions to Becky Hofstad at (406) 243-4789 or HofstadBL@mso.umt.edu.
The logo cannot be redrawn or modified in any way. Spectral Fusion will provide you with the approved logos on a disk at no charge. Please contact us at (406) 243-4789, sfd@mso.umt.edu or UC 127, University Center, The University of Montana, Missoula, MT 59812.
Section II:
Description of Logo
Spectral Fusion's logos are illustrated on this page under Section V: Examples of Permitted Use. You have several choices depending on your needs.
Spectral Fusion will provide you the approved logos. For information on how to obtain a disk, please contact us at (406) 243-4789, sfd@mso.umt.edu or UC 127, University Center, The University of Montana, Missoula, MT 59812.
Section III:
Size and Orientation of Logo
For use in print applications, the size of the logo should be directly proportional to the size of the piece on which it's displayed. There is no set standard for the size of the graphic logo in print applications. However, it should be placed in a logical location and should be of a reasonable size. For more information on use in print applications, see Section V: Logos for Print.

Examples of Permitted Use
The low-resolution images on this page may be downloaded or copied for Web or electronic usage only in accordance with the Official Graphic Standards contained on this page. For use in print applications, see Section V: Logos for Print. Spectral Fusion's images are protected by federal trademark and unauthorized use of the logo is strictly prohibited. The logo that appears here is of proper size and proportion.
Standard Logo
In the event that the Standard logo creates a visual contrast with the application in which it is used, alternate logos may be used. These logos may be acquired or approved by contacting Spectral Fusion.

Logos for Print
For high-resolution images to be used in print publications, contact Spectral Fusion at (406) 243-4789 or sfd@mso.umt.edu. Note that the low-resolution images on this page will not reproduce adequately in print and should only be used on the Web.

Copyright Information
All materials contained on this site and any Spectral Fusion sites are protected by United States copyright law and may not be reproduced, distributed, transmitted, displayed, published or broadcast without the prior permission of Spectral Fusion. You may not alter or remove any trademark, copyright or other notice from copies of the content. However, you may download material from some Spectral Fusion sites for your personal, noncommercial use only.
Any past, present or future products of Spectral Fusion are protected by United States copyright laws and may be not modified in any way without prior written consent of the designer or party responsible for its creation. This includes removing or modifying our registered logo or name, copyright notice, or any other piece of work belonging to Spectral Fusion.
Section VII:
Trademark Information
The name "Spectral Fusion" and the aforementioned and described logo are registered marks (Assumed Business Name 30-13-211) with the State of Montana as of January 1, 2002.
Any application referring to Spectral Fusion must use the registered name "Spectral Fusion." Examples of improper names are "Spectral Fusion, Inc." or "Spectral Fusion Company."
"Spectral Fusion Designs" is permissable for use as a registered name. It is permissible to use "Spectral Fusion" or "Spectral Fusion Designs" interchangeably in any application.
