Faculty travel grants may be awarded to faculty who are presenting on a topic pertinent to Women’s and Gender Studies at a professional meeting or conference. Eligible faculty will have taught a course listed with Women’s and Gender Studies or served on a WGS committee during the current or previous academic year. Travel Grant funds can only be utilized for conference registration fees, transportation and lodging.
To apply, please send a one-page letter to the Women’s and Gender Studies Program Coordinator that includes the following:
1. Name of the meeting/conference at which you are presenting
2. Date and location of the meeting/conference
3. Title and abstract of the paper you will be presenting
4. Amount of funding requested from Women’s and Gender Studies
5. Summary of other funding sources for your travel
6. Statement of involvement in WGS Program in current or previous year
Dec. 1, 2011 -- Application Deadline for conference travel from July 1 - Dec. 31, 2011
May 1, 2012 -- Application Deadline for conference travel from Jan. 1st - June 30, 2012
*Decisions made post deadline. Maximum award amount is $300.

FRAU, the Women’s and Gender Studies research forum, meets throughout the semester to review and discuss faculty works in progress. Papers are available for review in the Women’s and Gender Studies office, LA 138A. Interested faculty should contact G.G Weix (x6319) for meeting times and locations.
